This is what Susan Lynch (his owner) has to say about Manny...
"Manny is everything a Golden Retriever should be- a good hunting dog, beautiful, smart with a perfect temperament. He is competitive in all areas being Major pointed in the conformation ring, a placement in a field trial, has been HIT in obedience and is a Master Hunter. He gets along with all dogs, wonderful with kids and is an affectionate, wonderful house dog. He is well muscled, stands 22/ 1/2 inches, has full dentition, dark pigment with correct moderate coat of medium gold. He has been completely owner trained and handled through all training in field and obedience.
Some of his working accomplishments are in summary:
By the time Manny was 18 months he was doing solid Senior blinds and marks. We ran JH tests in the spring of 2009 and went 4 for 4 to title. We rolled right into Senior and passed five tests in a row. He was a SH (with a bumper leg) and passed his WCX on the first try- all before he turned 2 years old. He was the recipient of both the Junior and Senior Hunter trophies offered by YGRC in 2009. He went 4 for 4 in HRC Seasoned tests getting his HR title and achieved his first Master pass before he was 3 years old. The following summer he achieved his 4 remaining MH passes (in a row) to title in Master. I also ran him in HRC tests and he earned 4 Finished passes to title with his HRCH this past summer. I've always wanted to try the field trial game so I started getting him ready for a Qual. We ran the O/H Qual in VT this past summer and he did a beautiful job, taking a 4th place out of 21 dogs. The ** earned him his VCX from the GRCA.
In obedience Manny went HIT with a score of 199 on his first Novice leg. His next 2 legs were also in the ribbons with a second place and a first place respectively, going 3 for 3 to title with his CD. He was also 3 for 3 in Open all with placements titling with his CDX.
In conformation he was handled by a friend of mine (an amateur) at the New England Sporting Dog Association dog show in March of 2012. He was Best Gun Dog on both Saturday and Sunday under breeder judges. On Saturday he went 4th in the Gun Dog Group and the following day he did one better and took a Gun Dog Group 3. The most recent win was in NY under well respected breeder/judge Michael Faulkner who awarded Winners Dog to Manny for his first points and Major. Two days later he won his class in Am Bred.
In the past 6 months alone he has:
-
Went Best Gun Dog twice at a specialty
-
Was 4 and 3rd in Gun Dog Group
-
CDX in 3 shows all with placements
-
Was awarded his CCA and VCX by the GRCA
-
Was 4th place in a Qualifying to earn **
-
Became a HRCH
