Likah is just shy of 22"at the whithers and 69 lbs. She possesses a quick dry wavy coat that sheds dirt and burrs easily, ample undercoat and moderate feathering. She has a very solid athletic build, powerful front and is light on her feet (jumps effortlessly). Her expression is very pleasing with medium dark eyes that are very expressive. Unfortunately at 8 weeks of age, she was attacked by another dog and her jaw was broken in two places plus it caused horner's syndrome on the left side of her face (nerve damage). She has a scissors bite and full dentition on the right side but the left upper jaw is missing all the molars from the injury. It is amazing to watch her carry a Canada Goose and it makes you realize how strong and resiliant she is. The injury has never phased her, she has a very fast bird pick up in the field.
Likah is a very eager and outgoing Golden with a strong desire to please, ton of play and prey drive and an endless sense of humor. She was first hunting wild pheasants at 10 months of age and she hunted like a 5 yr old seasoned veteran. Amazing nose and a beautiful natural quarterer, she doesn't miss a bird and has proven to be an outstanding upland companion hunter. She also is a wonderful waterfowl hunter and can handle the Greater Canada Geese as well as diving for the odd duck that thinks of escaping. Likah possesses a wonderful Golden temperament, very loving, big cuddler, great with people, kids, exceptional puppy trainer and gets along with ALL other dogs and the odd cat. We are honored to have her in our lives and she always plays and makes me laugh. Make sure to visit Likah's Field Page, Likah's Tracking Page and Likah's Agility Page
