Clearances: HIPS-OFA prelims Good (Sep 03), Elbows-OFA prelims clear (Sep 03), CERF eyes cleared in Oct 2010, Heart board-certified cleared in Feb 04. Chase had a serious injury to his left side shortly after he cleared OFA prelims and did not recieve final clearances on his LEFT hip (moderate dysplasia) or LEFT elbow (grade 3 dysplasia), the right hip and elbow are clear/normal.
Chase gives a ton of heart and courage into everything he has accomplished including all our hunting journeys together. He is a once in a lifetime dog with exceptional drive, a mesmerizing desire to be or perhaps live in water, very soft mouth, loves his birds and always tries to do things right. It is an honor to have him as part of our lives. Chase had a cruciate injury in the spring of 2011 which has retired him from formal field competition but we still hope to venture into tracking and he will always be our hunting buddy.
