Bella was a star hunting prospect from our Firefighter litter with tons of play drive.
She was balanced and focussed at 7 weeks of age, an amazing little retriever! Bella resides in Olympia, WA on the pacific ocean. She is Steve & Dori's best friend, hunting buddy and neighbourhood beach dog when they are working their Geoduck clam farm.. Steve does all his own training and hunting with his son, friends and Golden Retriever is his passion. Bella is a very good water dog and is a strong swimmer in fresh and salt water even in cold harsh conditions. When hunting upland, she is a natural quarterer with an excellent nose to find shot birds and runners in tough cover. Her claim to fame is 81 geese in 4 days.
She easily earned her Am WC (Working Certificate) in the summer of 2013 with litterally just a couple days of training for their very first event!.
Clearances: Hips OFA Good, Elbows OFA Normal, CERF eyes cleared in April 2013, heart board-certified cleared in April 2013, Thyroid OFA normal April 2013. PRA-prcd Clear by parentage, ICT Clear.
Bella stands 22 1/2"at the whithers and weighs 66 lbs. She possesses a quick dry coat that sheds dirt and burrs easily, ample undercoat and moderate feathering. She has a very solid athletic build, good bone, and powerful front. Her expression is very soft and pleasing with dark eyes, scissors bite and full dentition. Bella has a wonderful Golden temperament, very loving, big cuddler, great with people, kids and all other dogs. She has a great "off switch" in the house, calm disposition and settles easily. When out working or playing she has lots of energy and focus to perform any retriever task. She is a classic "gentlemen's hunting companion" with a true golden temperament.
