We are thrilled to announce this planned breeding and thank Allan Mortensen & Maria Lindegaard Pedersen for the opportunity to breed Brew to Clyde via frozen semen which was imported in 2015. We were introduced to Clyde by John Nikolajsen who owned his sire DK.BR.CH Clockburn Clooneen (also Clyde), Field Trialer of the year in Denmark 2003.
Our goal for this breeding is to produce intelligent hunting companions that are structurally sound, athletic, biddable, can be easily trained in any venue, and become a wonderful family member. Both Clyde and Brew have dynamic personalities, exceptional Golden temperaments with all other dogs/ puppies, love to work, live to hunt and also easily settle in the house. The puppy pedigree has a very low inbreeding coefficient and is a wonderful blend of field, performance and conformation Goldens from two continents.
About Clyde from his owners:
Clyde is a dog who loves to work and be with people and other dogs. He is very social and never disobedient. If he understands what you want him to do, he will always do it. He is a dog who needed time to mature and not be pushed but given the time and training, he will do anything for you and picks up dummies and game quickly with a nice hold. He will do everything you ask him to, no matter what it is.
He is a dog that is never asking for trouble with other dogs. If he sees trouble coming he pretends as if it doesn't exist. He is not dominant at all! Clyde loves water retrieving and goes direct into the water to get a bird or dummy. If a bird goes down far away he will run to get it without hesitation. Clyde has never had any skin issues of any kind (neither has his mother or two sisters). Not with his ears, allergies or anything at all. Brew is a very strong, athletic hunting retriever measuring 21 1/2 " at the withers and weighing 63 pounds. She is a water dog and lives to retrieve. More information on Brew can be found on her page on this website.
