Sierra is a fun loving young girl from our Canada Day Litterout of Polly x Trooper. She is an absolute gem, gets along with all dogs & puppies and has a wonderful disposition with children. Her love in life is the field game, she is they type of dog that can take a novice handler wherever they want to go. Very focussed, strong desire to retreive, very fast pick up, natural quarterer, great water dog with flying entry, loves her birds and is a team player. Lorne and Patty are enjoying training Sierra in multiple venues including agility & obedience, she is their very first field dog and now that Lorne has the hunting bug, will be his very first hunting partner. They have been enjoying the journey together passing WC & WCI & WCX on first attempts, earning JH & SHR & SH & HRCH titles in straight tests! Earning 4 CKC Master passes this summer and the first time Lorne & Sierra ever entered any kind of obedience ring they earned an RN title with an HIC and one RA leg (bonus). Sierra is a good sized female and within the standard weighing 63lbs and stands 22 1/2" at the withers. Structuraly she is maturing into a lovely girl and we may try showing her in Canada after hir first litter. She is a powerful retriever with great muscle tone and athletic ability which allows her to jump effortlessly. She has a scissors bite, full dentition but 2 dropped incissors, dark eyes and good pigment (fading slightly in winter). Her head and expression are lovely, good ear set and decent stop. She has a very strong front, excellent rib spring, good length of neck and decent topline. She is slightly long in body, tail set drops slightly at the croup (which is correct), great tail carriage, and strong rear (slightly long in rear pastern compared to today's show goldens). Her movement is very clean and her foot timing effortless. She has correct quick drying coat for a golden retriever that dries quickly and shed's burrs and dirt easily. She possesses alot of undercoat and moderate feathering.
